I thought this did a great job of distilling a lot of I formation quickly。 I feel like these are always better when the person she’s writing about has lived longer。 I enjoyed this one, and I would recommend。

I really love the little people, big dreams series of books。 I think it gives kids a look at people who they may not have heard of before。 Most of us have heard of Jane Goodall, but I think this book really gives a great overview of her life。 You can feel her independence and determination in the story。 I also loved the illustrations。 While they were clearly cartoonish, I think the color choices made it feel more realistic。 Beatrice Cerocchi chose colors that look realistic and what we would see I really love the little people, big dreams series of books。 I think it gives kids a look at people who they may not have heard of before。 Most of us have heard of Jane Goodall, but I think this book really gives a great overview of her life。 You can feel her independence and determination in the story。 I also loved the illustrations。 While they were clearly cartoonish, I think the color choices made it feel more realistic。 Beatrice Cerocchi chose colors that look realistic and what we would see in everyday life。 I consider myself a feminist, so I am always looking for more resources, especially for kids, about strong women。 I really enjoyed this and think it is perfect for younger kids。 。。。more

Short, simple, and sweet。 Sticks to history but breaks it down in beautiful illustrations for kids while keeping the message behind the story。 Could read this over and over

。。。more

Jane Goodall was given a stuffed chimpanzee as a child。 She dreamed of living with chimpanzees in the jungle one day just like Tarzan and Jane had done。 She wanted to learn from them, study them。 For over forty years she studied primates and discovered many similarities between primates and humans。 What an amazing woman!

I love this book (series)。 It is probably one of my favorites。 I really enjoy reading them, and the art work in them is so well done。 I also love how each book ends with a timeline of the person lifes。 As far as this specific book in the series, I actually liked the story behind Jane's life so much that i bought a second nonfiction children's book about her。 Growing up you hear a lot about Jane and her accomplishments, but very little on how she got to where she ended up, and i love how this boo I love this book (series)。 It is probably one of my favorites。 I really enjoy reading them, and the art work in them is so well done。 I also love how each book ends with a timeline of the person lifes。 As far as this specific book in the series, I actually liked the story behind Jane's life so much that i bought a second nonfiction children's book about her。 Growing up you hear a lot about Jane and her accomplishments, but very little on how she got to where she ended up, and i love how this book starts from the very beginning of her story。 。。。more
